While many lighting distributors shifted to e-commerce, we chose a different path. Lumens USA launched its first brick-and-mortar store during the height of the pandemic, with a bold vision to become a national lighting franchise built on personal service and hands-on expertise.

Why We Started

After years in lighting design and sales, our founder knew there was a better way to serve customers, one rooted in personal connection, trusted brands, and cost-effective solutions. That vision led to the creation of Lumens USA.

Launching during the COVID-19 shutdown, we moved quickly to prepare for the surge in demand. By working directly with builders and NJ utility companies, we tapped into rebate programs that helped fuel a rapid rise in sales. Today, our retail stores give customers the confidence that Lumens USA is here to deliver.

What’s in a Name?

“Lumens” replaced “foot-candles” in the 1990s as the new standard in lighting output. By adding “USA,” we signal our commitment to quality and trust, backed by the major domestic brands we proudly carry.
